1. All entries must have an Irish theme and/or be decorated with Irish colors - get creative!! (exception for vintage vehicles)
2. No Paper handouts, stickers, fliers or balloons. All of these items create litter. Please email
[email protected] if you have questions on your handouts.
3. No Alcohol consumption or display of alcohol in the staging area or on the parade route.
4. No THROWING candy or objects from vehicles. Walkers may hand out candy/objects at the curb hand to hand. Walkers MUST keep up with their entry. Please make sure ALL participants with your entry understand this.
5. Staging areas open at 11:00 AM. Someone must stay with the entry once entering staging. Do not bring your entry and leave it.
6. Participants must obey SaPaDaPaSo parade Marshals and security. Entries will receive their parade number from the parade marshals when entering the staging area. Place the number in the upper right hand corner of the vehicle or tape it to your banner. Return parade number to the designated parade marshal at the end of the parade route.
7. All entries must continue to move forward during the parade. No stopping or performing along the route or in front of the judges stand.
8. Maximum entry height is 13' (due to skywalks). Maximum width is 24'. Maximum length is 55'.
9. Each entry is allowed three motorized vehicles. NO RAGBRAI OR PARTY BUSES.
10. SaPaDaPaSo limits the parade to 100 entries. A selection process may be implemented if we receive a large number of entries. The more creative and visually appealing your entry is, the better the chance of being able to participate. All entries not accepted will receive a full refund.
11. If selected, SaPaDaPaSo will email a confirmation along with your parade number & staging information in advance. Please bring your staging sheet with you to the parade (or have it on your phone).
13. Failure to comply with the rules will result in ejection from the event and potential denial of involvement in future SaPaDaPaSo events.
14. The City of Cedar Rapids enforces a NO PARKING rule along the parade route. This is strictly enforced on parade day.
15. All music played must be family friendly with no profanity
